Benjamin Steps Down as Wildscape Deer Management Deer Lead

Benjamin Steps Down as Wildscape Deer Management Deer Lead

Benjamin is standing down as our Deer Lead after several years of dedicated service to the team and to the wider work we have been carrying out across Sussex.

During his time in the role, he made a significant contribution not only through his own hard work, commitment and determination, but also through the way he helped bring people together across the sector.

Benjamin played an important role in supporting collaboration between estates in Sussex, helping to strengthen communication, connect partners, and encourage a more joined-up approach to practical deer management on the ground. He was instrumental in helping to move a number of projects forward and worked hard to build positive working relationships between landowners, managers and delivery partners, always with a clear focus on practical outcomes and long-term improvement.

His contribution extended well beyond day-to-day delivery. He helped support a more coordinated view of how deer management can best serve woodland recovery, habitat improvement and wider estate objectives across the county. That work has been greatly valued, both within the team and by those we have worked alongside.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Benjamin for everything he has contributed during his time with us. We are grateful for the professionalism, leadership and determination he has shown, and we wish him every success in his new venture.
